Hot Air Balloons

Up, up and away! Put these guys down as another super-underrated form of transportation. I would LOVE to own one of these. They create a very particular kind of "skyscape" - ie. like a landscape, but in the sky, when there's so many of them cruising at once. There's something so perfect about sliently ambling (at no particularly urgent pace) across the sky, taking it all in, and generally just being pleasant.

Pleasant stuff is the best stuff. Just chill out in a hot air balloon already, what are you waiting for?

Hills

The Hill. The smaller, more peaceful cousin of the Mountain, but with a certain serene dignity that makes them a dreamy addition to any large-scale landscape. Hills just chill out there, on the side of the road, just being totally cool with everything. Congratulations, hills - you're awesome.

Wholesome Fun #4

Fucken KITES, man.

This is basically the definition of wholesome fun. Combining aviation physics, the outdoors, serenity, and just hanging out floating a sheet of reinforced cloth on a string for a half an hour.

Nice. Would love to both "be one" and to go "fly one" right now... not at the same time, of course.

Fishing!

Fishing is great stuff. I really want to go again really soon. Such a great thing to do with your "Dad" as well as your "Pals". Or both, even!

There's something so awesome about serenely sitting and shooting the shit, while waiting for the fish to bite. There's like... 2 minutes of action for every hour, but that's almost the point! Just sitting around, chatting, waiting, and generally enjoying being alive.
